Some members of our club visited the Arrow Riding School for the disabled in Dartford set up 27 years ago by Dartford Lions. In the picture along with our members is Val who runs the school and has done from the beginning as a volunteer.
They help approx 170 disabled people and have a waiting list of 200.
Lion President Barbara Whitehead said ” It was great to visit the school which does so much for disabled members of the community who have a passion for horse riding. Its an honour for us still to be connected with such a great facility which was set up by fellow lions 27 years ago”.
Dartford Lions once again are looking to give financial support hoping that Paramount who are building a theme park in the area Will price match the funding.
